If there is interference in the nervous system, it prevents the body from functioning how it should. In a newborn baby, the tiniest interference (spinal misalignments often from the birth process itself) can make a big difference in how the body functions and adapts to its new environment outside the womb. Even if there are no concerns, many moms bring their babies to our office because little misalignments can become big misalignments later in life and they want their kids to get the best start possible. We do too. As children grow and learn to walk, the inevitable falls and bumps can further affect the developing bones of the spine and skull. Regular chiropractic checkups identify potential spinal injury from these traumas. This continues throughout childhood and teenage years.
